THIS PAPER ANALYSES THE THERMAL COEFFICIENTS OF A VAPOUR-COMPRESSION REFRIGERATING CYCLE, ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING CYCLE AND STEAM-JET REFRIGERATING CYCLE AND GIVES A COMPARISON OF THE ACTUAL ENERGY CONSUMPTIONS OF THESE REFRIGERATING MACHINES IN TERMS OF STANDARD COAL CONSUMPTION. IN ORDER TO CONSERVE ENERGY AND INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF ENERGY UTILIZATION, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT ENERGY SOURCES OF ALL REFRIGERATING MACHINES SHOULD BE RATIONALLY SELECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THESE RESPECTIVE CYCLES.
