Summary
The paper concerns the problems of fuel consumption in road refrigerated transport. An innovative approach to the reducing of costs in road refrigerated transport via an external electrical power supply of vehicle's refrigerating units in the parking places is presented. The sample comparative analysis of cots of fuel consumption in the road refrigerated transport for the selected route Gdansk - Odessa, for a specific car and refrigerating unit with regard to the employment of one or two drivers was carried out. The aper presents the factors affecting fuel consumption in road refrigerated transport and examines long-distance fleet of refrigerated trucks. On the basis of the calculation's results the effect of the promoted solutions on energy efficiency and costs reduce in refrigerated road transport was shown.
