Summary
The transport refrigeration industry needs standards to rate fuel consumption. In this article, a model is presented to assess fuel consumption in a manner consistent with the varied customer uses of the equipment. In addition, energy reduction concepts are discussed. The results of this study will also be used to propose a labeling scheme in Europe.
