Summary
With the help of mathematical model, technical and operational parameters (refrigerating capacity, capacity of circulating pump, exergy efficiency of evaporator, etc.) of water-propylene glycol coolants, having influence on energy efficiency of refrigerating machine are calculated. It is found that water-propylene glycol coolants, containing electrolyte (NaCl, KI) are advantageous by these parameters as compared to water-propylene glycol coolant, not containing electrolyte. Best characteristics of electrolyte-containing coolants confirm adequacy of physicochemical approach to the choice of coolant.
