THIS IS A CASE STUDY OF AN AWARD WINNING ENERGY MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME FOR A REFRIGERATED STORAGE FACILITY. THE PROGRAMME WAS DEVELOPED TO REDUCE PEAK KILOWATT DEMAND AND KILOWATT-HOUR USAGE AND RESULTED IN A SAVING OF $ 45,875 IN THE FIRST 27 MONTHS OF OPERATION. A BREAKDOWN OF THIS IS GIVEN IN THE TABLES. THE COST OF THE SYSTEM MODIFICATION WAS $ 28,000 AND THE SAVING REPRESENTS A SIMPLE PAY-BACK PERIOD OF 1.58 YEARS. E.W.S.
