Summary

IN THE PAPER THREE PROPOSALS TO BE RETROSPECTIVELY FITTED TO THE EXISTING AIR CONDITIONING PLANT IN A CAMPUS LIBRARY BUILDING TO REDUCE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION ARE DESCRIBED. DETAILS OF THE THREE CASE STUDIES AND GENERAL CONCLUSIONS FROM EACH OF THEM ARE PRESENTED. SUGGESTIONS FOR FUTURE WORK IN AREAS WHICH WOULD FACILITATE SIMILAR INVESTIGATIONS BOTH ON THE CAMPUS AND ELSEWHERE ARE ALSO PRESENTED.
