Summary

The objective of the case study described in the paper is to evaluate the performance of displacement systems in offices (i.e. an environment with a low air pollution load) in terms of thermal energy. The main conclusion is that, from a thermal energy point of view, application of a displacement system in typical offices is only recommended when the casual gains are relatively low (i.e. up to 30 watts/m2).
