Environmental aspects of refrigeration: are you using the right fluids?
Umweltaspekte der Kältetechnik: Arbeiten Sie mit den richtigen Kältemitteln?
Author(s) : MORLEY J. R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper discusses the global environmental problem of climate change, and how this is affecting thinking in the refrigeration industry. Climate change is a much more complex issue than ozone depletion. Virtually every human activity can result in emissions of global warming substances. Climate change is not the exclusive responsibility of the substances used as working fluids in refrigeration. Criteria for evaluating the overall environmental impact (on climate change) of refrigeration systems are discussed.
