Author(s) : BRAUN J. E., MONGEAU L., MINNER B., et al.

Type of monograph: Report

Summary

This report was prepared as an account of work sponsored by ARTI under its "HVAC&R Research for the 21st Century Program". One of the primary goals of this study was to compare performance predictions with measurements for a functional thermoacoustic cooler prototype designed and constructed at Purdue University, USA, for air conditioning operating conditions. Extract from the table of contents: system design and experimental set-up; component characterizations (heat exchangers: experimental testing; estimation of heat transfer coefficients; steady-flow results; oscillating flow data); prototype performance evaluation; application studies; This report can be downloaded from: www.arti-21cr.org/research/completed/index.html.
