Summary
The use of the refrigeration cycle based on a solid-gas chemical reaction needs a detailed knowledge of the behaviour of the porous medium taking part in the reaction. The behaviour related to the kinetics of the grains, graphite addition (heat transfer coefficient), and the mechanical properties are studied. The performance of the process is also given.
