Summary
Medium scale rabbit breeders are facing a big problem during summer due to hot weather, which is characterized by high temperature and low humidity, causing decreased productivity and an increase in the mortality rate. The aim of the work was to test and evaluate a simple evaporative cooling unit, which was designed and built from local materials. The results indicated that the temperature was reduced by about 8-12 °C inside the facilities and the relative humidity increased and ranged from 70-90%.
