Summary
Shelf life of sapota cv. Kalipatti could be increased to 9 days with minimum weight loss and rotting when packed in polyethylene bags and stored in ambient conditions. There was an increase followed by subsequent decrease in TSS and total sugars with corresponding decrease in acidity upon prolonged storage irrespective of packaging treatment.
