Summary
The classification of working substances used in refrigeration into ozone-depleting, transition and ozone-safe ones according to the Montreal Protocol, depending on their ozone-depleting potential, is presented. The current situation is considered and a forecast of production and consumption of the transition, ozone-depleting substances in Russia is given. A list of measures needed for a step-by-step transition to fully ozone-safe technologies is given.
