Summary
The multi-cascade vacuum freeze-drier with the use of thermoelectric modules between cascades is proposed. Thermoelectric modules are used as a heat pump for transferring of desublimation heat from lower-ranking to the upper cascade. A theoretical analysis of efficiency and energy consumption of the installation is made and a scheme of laboratory installation with the modules is presented. Feasibility of using thermoelectric modules in vacuum freeze-driers is shown in the paper.
