A METHOD IS SUGGESTED FOR DETERMINING THE REQUIRED DEPTH OF THE FOUNDATIONS OF COLD STORES ON AN UNHEATED GROUND FROM THE PERMITTED-DISTORTION OF THE BASE AND STRUCTURES. IT IS SHOWN THAT FOR GIVEN CONDITIONS THE HEATING OF GROUND UNDER COLD STORES CAN BE AVOIDED.
