Summary

EXPERIMENTS ON EVAPORATION OF LITHIUM BROMIDE AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS (0-55 WT% LITHIUM BROMIDE) WERE DONE IN A VERTICAL FALLING-FILM TYPE OF STAINLESS STEEL GENERATOR UNDER REDUCED PRESSURE: 8 KILOPASCALS. A SIMPLE CALCULATION METHOD IS PROPOSED FOR ANALYZING THE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER. THE RESULTS AGREE WITH THOSE OF THE AUTHORS' PREVIOUS TWO-DIMENSIONAL DIFFERENCE METHOD AND THE NEW METHOD REDUCES COMPUTATION TIME TO ONE SIXTIETH.
