Type of article: Article

Summary

THE ENERGY REQUIREMENTS OF DIFFERENT VARIANTS OF A PARTICULAR PROCESS CAN BE EVALUATED BY THE EXERGETIC EFFICIENCY, PROVIDED THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE OF THE PROCESS IS TAKEN AS THE REFERENCE TEMPERATURE INSTEAD OF THE COMMONLY USED AMBIENT TEMPERATURE. THE METHOD IS EXPLAINED WITH REFERENCE TO TWO COMMON PROCESS VARIANTS.
