IIR document
Expander-compressor for a more efficient use of CO2 as refrigerant.
Author(s) : HEYL P., KRAUS W. E., QUACK H.
Summary
The range of application of CO2 as refrigerant is limited however by energetic disadvantages. The thermodynamic efficiency can be improved by the application of an expander-compressor-unit. The paper contains process calculations and the design of that kind of machine.
