Summary
In the paper new void fraction sensors and their characteristics are presented. The signal part of the sensor is a volume with a highly uniform electric field within it. Applicable fluids include cryogens, water, liquefied natural gas and oil. The sensors are also able to identify mineral particles in such media. Modification of the sensor for measurement of the moisture content of components for the porcelain industry is demonstrated.
