Structural considerations relating to ammonia-refrigerating plants and their components are carried out; regulation-technical problems are addressed; laws and decrees are mentioned. In 1986 in the Federal Republic of Germany 57 percent of the refrigerants within the sphere of industry were ammonia-based. The remainder were CFCs and HCFCs.
