Summary

Research and development at Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering is fo-cused on the experimental assessment of PCMs in building structures. For assessment of influence of PCMs on indoor environment is used comparative method. This method is based on the meas-urement of indoor environment parameters in two test rooms. Test rooms have same geometry and light-weight composition of envelope. Test rooms are situated under the roof structure. Different possibilities of PCMs integration in building structures were tested during 4 years. The main goals of our work were to assess influence of PCMs on indoor environment and to find proper system of PCMs regeneration at night in summer season. The possibility of charging and discharging of ener-gy stored in PCMs play important role in functionality of passive cooling system. Paper will show possibilities of PCMs integration in building structures and results from pilot experiments in test rooms.
