Experimental designs for investigating heat transfer during pool or confined boiling.
Author(s) : BONJOUR J., BONNEVILLE D., GENTILE D., LALLEMAND M.
Summary
The methodology consists in making a reduced number of experiments for extreme conditions (high and low heat flux) and to compute the boiling curves from a mathematical model based on statistical criteria. The number of measurements is thus divided by about four to obtain eight boiling curves. The accuracy of the model is usually of the same order as the experimental uncertainty.
