Summary
The hourly system performance of a thermosiphon solar water heater, with the flat plate collector as the only system component insulated, was experimentally investigated for 2 months under no-load conditions in the northern Nigerian city of Bauchi. A comparison of typical system and operating characteristics curves with published data for fully insulated units is made.
