Experimental study of lubricant candidates for the CO2 refrigeration system.

Author(s) : LI H., RAJEWSKI T. E.

Summary

The paper presents a screening study on the interactions of carbon dioxide with a variety of lubricant chemistries. Experiments conducted included miscibility, solubility, working viscosity, sealed tube stability and lubricity. Results demonstrate distinct behaviours, which are expected to have a major impact on the performance of systems.
