Experimental study on a two-stage adsorption refrigeration system.

Author(s) : HAMAMOTO Y., AKISAWA A., HAGA N., et al.

Summary

In the study, a two-stage silica gel-water cycle is driven experimentally by a heat source temperature between 323 and 343 K. The cycle was evaluated in terms of cooling capacity and COP with some operating parameters. The two-stage cycle system has optimum heat source temperature, cooling water temperature and batched cycle operation time. The overall heat transfer coefficients in the adsorber, the desorber, the evaporator and the condenser were obtained.
