Experiments on heat transfer additives in ammonia-water solution.
Author(s) : KANG Y. T., IIZUKA K., AKISAWA A., et al.
Summary
The objectives of the paper are to obtain experimental data of surface tension and interfacial tension, to study fundamental mechanism of Marangoni convection and to provide a guideline for the best selection of heat transfer additive in ammonia-water absorption systems. Basic mechanism of Marangoni convection in lithium-bromide/water system was reviewed from the viewpoints of the surface tension and the interfacial tension gradients.
