Factors affecting air cooler selection.
Author(s) : EERIKAINEN J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The author explains the physical factors that should influence air-cooler selection, such as fin pitch, fin thickness, air turbulators, internal tube extended surface, coil construction and fan arrangement. The capacity rating is also important and standards coming into use will define the temperature difference specified by the manufacturer. It must also be understood that inlet air humidity affects the capacity. Defrosting methods are discussed, together with hygienic considerations. D.W.H.
