Falling film absorption: a discussion on three types of model and on the data reduction of absorption measurements.

Author(s) : WASSENAAR R. H.

Summary

In the past decades much theoretical work has been dedicated to the description of a falling absorber with simultaneous heat and mass transfer. Basically three kinds of model are found, in order of increasing complexity: 1) models that consider the variation of parameters in more directions; 2) models that consider the variation of parameters in flow direction; 3) models with concentrated parameters. All these types of models are discussed.
