FLAT-PLATE CRYOSTAT FOR MEASUREMENTS OF MULTILAYER INSULATION THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY.

Author(s) : HALACZEK T., RAFALOWICZ J.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE CRYOSTAT MAKES POSSIBLE THE EFFECTIVE MEASUREMENT OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COEFFICIENTS IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 90-300 K, AS WELL AS ENABLING THE TEMPERATURE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EFFECTIVE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COEFFICIENT TO BE DETERMINED. AFTER USE IN EXPERIMENT WITH MULTILAYER INSULATIONS THE CRYO-STAT MAY BE REBUILT, IN VERY SHORT TIME, TO ITS ORIGINAL FORM, WITH A DESIGN TYPICAL FOR INVESTIGATIONS OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IN THE SOLID STATE.
