Flow control with electric actuators.
Author(s) : FEDERSPIEL C. C.
Type of article: Article
Summary
High levels of measurement, noise, nonlinear behaviour, and conflicting performance requirements, pose challenging problems for flow controllers in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. In the paper, a strategy is developed which is based on an analysis of the maximum system gain and an estimate of the variance of the noise. The conflicting requirements of good setpoint tracking and minimal actuator motion are managed automatically by control logic.
