Type of article: Article
Summary
AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION WAS MADE FOR STUDYING THE FLUID MECHANICS OF TWO IMMISCIBLE LIQUIDS FLOWING IN A ANNULAR TUBE WITH A CONTINUOUS INTERFACE BETWEEN THEM. THE MAIN HYDRODYNAMIC CONDITIONS ARE GIVEN IN A GENERAL FORM. A METHOD TO CALCULATE THE PRESSURE DROP HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. IN ADDITION THE DEPENDENCE OF THE HEAT TRANSFER ON THE FLUID MECHANICS AND PHYSICAL DATA OF THE LIQUIDS HAS BEEN CLARIFIED.
