FLUIDS FOR ABSORPTION MACHINES: EXPERIMENTAL DATA AND WORKING PERFORMANCES.

Author(s) : FELLI M., COTANA F., BURATTI C.

Summary

EXPERIMENTAL DATA (P-T-X, SPECIFIC HEAT, VISCOSITY, DENSITY) ARE DETERMINED FOR SOME MIXTURES ESPECIALLY FOR THE TERNARY MIXTURE METHANOL/ZINC BROMIDE/LITHIUM BROMIDE, WITH VARYING OF THE WEIGHT RATIO BETWEEN ZINC AND LITHIUM BROMIDE. PERFORMANCES OF THE MIXTURES (COP, EFFICIENCY, RANGES OF EVAPORATING TEMPERATURES, EXERGETIC EFFICIENCIES) ARE EVALUATEDAND COMPARED WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH LITHIUM BROMIDE-WATER SOLUTIONS. THE COMPARISON IS DONE ASSUMING THAT DIFFERENT FLUIDS ARE OPERATING IN THE SAME ENGINE.
