Summary

FICUR (French federation of industries and businesses using low temperatures) held a conference of about 60 sector leaders in order to review threats to the cold chain. The need to protect the ozone layer was not questioned, but conference participants felt that serious problems are raised by the attitude of the French minister of the environment and by the decisions of some local governmental authorities in France.
