Summary
The experimental local boiling heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops of the zeotropic mixture R407C, inside a 12.7 mm nominal diameter horizontal tube, either smooth or micro-finned tube, are presented in this study. The effects of tube geometry, heat flux and mass flux on the heat transfer coefficient and the pressure drop have been investigated. For different experimental conditions, the contribution of each boiling mechanism to heat transfer is also studied.
