SALES OF FRESH CHILLED DAIRY PRODUCTS ROSE 12% BY VOLUME IN 1986 AND 14% IN VALUE IN SPITE OF A POOR SUMMER. MULTIPACKS GAVE AN ADDITIONAL GROWTH STIMULUS BOTH IN YOGURTS AND MORE RECENTLY COTTAGE CHEESE AND SALAD. CREAM SHOWED A SMALL INCREASE, BUT PRE-PACKED SALADS HAD A RECORD INCREASE AS DID COTTAGE CHEESE AND DESSERTS. THE MARKET IS EXPECTED TO GROW BY 11% IN 1987. G.R.S.
