Summary
The origin of fungi in dwellings are not the human body but the infiltrating outdoor air. Fungi grow on the surfaces with optimum temperature and humidity conditions, and become airborne through human activities indoors. Environmental fungi grow well on the building materials such as "tatami omote" (straw-sheet for tatami-mat). Condensation or conditions near condensation cause fungal growth. They especially grow well inside store rooms or on the back of chests of drawers. Details on fungi control are given.
