The basis of entropic and statistical analysis of real losses of power in low-temperature and high-temperature machines and plants.

Author(s) : ARKHAROV A., SYTCHEV V.

Summary

The existing methods of thermodynamic analysis - the basic entropy one and its modification - the exergy one, allow determining the values of power losses associated with the "production of entropy" in different assemblies of low-temperature and high-temperature plants. Certainly, it is of practical significance, but it is more important to know real values of power losses for the improvement of installations. Therefore, in this paper the attempt has been made to interrelate two sources of information having key importance for the analysis of refrigerating, cryogenic and thermal power plants, that is: the entropy method of analysis of power losses and the experimental statistical information about thermodynamic efficiency (the extent of thermodynamic perfection) of the developed low-temperature and high-temperature machines and installations, that had been accumulated during long practical activities. Perhaps, the offered method of analysis of real power losses can be named "the entropy-statistical one".
