Gas-fired rooftop desiccant unit brings multiple benefits.
Author(s) : NORLAND J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article analyzes the operation of a supermarket air-conditioning plant to which a silica-gel dehumidification device was added, followed by an (indirect) evaporation cooling system. Among other things, the unit improves humidity control in the supermarket and helps avoid condensation on cold products and frost build-up on the evaporators and frozen products. Regeneration is obtained through natural-gas combustion.
