Summary

THE AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION OF THE PROVINCIAL HALL OVERIJSSEL PROVIDES FOR THE VENTILATING AIR. AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN MADE WHETHER WELL-WATER CAN BE USED TO COOL THE VENTILATING AIR IN SUMMER, AND THAT THE HEAT DISCHARGED IN THIS WAY CAN BE USED IN WINTER TO HEAT THE VENTILATING AIR BY REVERSING THE WATERFLOW. A DOUBLE SET OF WELLS WAS NECESSARY, IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND THE WATER BALANCE IN THE WATER CONTAINING LAYERS OF THE SOIL. THE SAVINGS ON THE GAS-AND ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION APPEAR TO JUSTIFY THE EXTRA INVESTMENTS INVOLVED WITH.
