Summary

This guide was written for those who design and install heat pump installations. It is one of a series of 5 technical guides written in cooperation with COSTIC, EDF and AFF (cf. this Bulletin, references 2009-1396, 1397, 1399 and 1400). It deals with mixed heating-cooling systems for individual homes, with thermal capacities below 20 kW. It gives background on and provides practical guidance on minimal professional technical rules for: study conditions, design, conditions of use, installation, maintenance and monitoring. In the annexes: list of French standards applicable to air/water heat pumps with a thermal capacity up to 20 kW; projects of applicable standards for air-water heat pumps; types of underfloor heating structures.
