Summary
States that in most parts of The Netherlands thermal energy can be stored in aquifers (sandy deposits at a depth of 50-200 m). Waste heat from electric power supply, cogeneration or cooling processes, available in the summer season can be stored and used for space heating in the winter. States a cost-effective application of aquifer storage is cold energy storage for space cooling and process cooling.
