Summary

THE RESULTS OF A TEST STUDY OF HEAT EXCHANGE SURFACES WITH VARIOUS FIN GEOMETRIES USED IN COOLERS OPERATING WITH FROST CONDITIONS ARE REPORTED. THE EFFECT OF THE QUALITY OF FINNED TUBES AND OF FIN GEOMETRY ON THE EFFICIENCY OF AIR COOLERS WAS DETERMINED. THE ADVANTAGES OF TWO-METAL FINNED SURFACES MANUFACTURED BY THE PRESSURE-CASTING PROCESS, WITH HIGH THERMAL AND TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS, ARE SHOWN.
