Summary

A SINGLE-DIMENSION MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR MOISTURE AND HEAT FLOW THROUGH A SATURATED POROUS MATERIAL IS REPORTED. THIS MODEL IS FORMULATED WITH THE USE OF THE CAPILLARY THEORY AND IT DEPENDS ON THE INTERRELATION BETWEEN PORE RADIUS, PRESSURE REDUCTION AT THE FREEZING POINT AND CRYOGENIC SUCTION. STUDY MADE IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE FREEZING DAMAGES OF ROADWAYS IN GREAT-BRITAIN. (Bull. CNRS, FR., 82-730-4881.
