Heat exchangers and refrigeration.
Warmtewisselaars en koudetechniek.
Author(s) : REE H. van der
Type of article: Article
Summary
The annual sales of heat exchangers in Europe amounts to some six billion NLG. Shell and tube account for the largest portion with a share of 43%. Air coolers commonly used for chilling and freezing are not compact by the usual definition. For thermodynamic reasons the temperature difference for heat transfer should be small, particularly in heat exchangers operating at low temperatures.
