HEAT, MASS, AND MOMENTUM TRANSFER IN SEPARATED FLOWS.
Author(s) : KOTTKE V.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE FLOW FIELDS AND WALL TRANSPORT PHENOMENA IN LOCAL SEPARATION ZONES HAVE BEEN REVIEWED. FOR THE TWO FUNDAMENTAL PARAMETERS (THE SHAPE AND BOUNDARY-LAYER REYNOLDS NUMBERS) THESE PHENOMENA ARE ACCESSIBLE TO EMPIRICAL CALCULATIONS OVER THE ENTIRE RANGE OF EXISTENCE OF LOCAL ZONES OF SEPARATION. THE NEW RESULTS FORM THE BASIS FOR A COMBINED REPRESENTATION OF THE NUMEROUS OTHER INFLUENTIAL PARAMETERS, WHICH CAN NOW BE INCLUDED WITH A MUCH SMALLER EXPENDITURE OF EFFORT.
