Summary

CALORIMETRIC MEASUREMENTS OF THE EXCESS ENTHALPY IN THE SYSTEMS KRYPTON/XENON AT 163 K AND NITROGEN/OXYGEN AT 80 K HAVE BEEN PERFORMED IN A BATCH MIXING CALORIMETER. THE OBSERVED EQUIMOLAR EXCESS ENTHALPY FOR KRYPTON/XENON IS SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER THAN HAD BEEN EXPECTED, BUT THE VALUE FOR NITROGEN/OXYGEN IS IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH OTHER RECENT MEASUREMENTS. EARLIER EXCESS ENTHALPY MEASUREMENTS ON THE SYSTEM CO2/ETHANE AND MOLECULAR THERMODYNAMICS PERTURBATION THEORY PREDICTIONS WERE COMPARED.
