HEAT PUMPS, WHERE ARE IMPROVEMENTS POSSIBLE ? AN EXERCISE IN EXERGY.
Author(s) : LORENTZEN G.
Summary
THE TRUE SECOND LAW EFFICIENCY OF PRESENTLY AVAILABLE HEAT PUMPS IS RATHER LOW AND REPRESENTS AN IMPEDIMENT TO THEIR USE, PARTICULARLY IN HEAT ENERGY BASED COUNTRIES. EXERGY ANALYSIS CAN SERVE TO SEPARATE THE INDIVIDUAL LOSSES AND INDICATE WAYS TO IMPROVE THE PROCESS.
