Summary

EXPERIMENTAL DATA WERE OBTAINED ON THE CRITICAL HEAT FLUX IN R22 AT HIGH SUBCRITICAL PRESSURE FLOW UPWARD IN A VERTICAL, UNIFORMLY HEATED ROUND TUBE. THE EFFECTS OF VARIOUS PARAMETERS ON THE CRITICAL HEAT FLUX OR CRITICAL QUALITY WERE CLARIFIED, AND THE CRITICAL HEAT FLUX OR CRITICAL QUALITY WAS FOUND TO BE CLASSIFIED INTO THREE CHARACTERISTIC REGIMES. A DIMENSIONLESS CORRELATION EQUATION OF THE CRITICAL HEAT FLUX WAS OBTAINED FOR EACH REGIME, WHICH AGREED WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA WITHIN AN ERROR OF ABOUT 10%. (BULL.
