Heating and cooling of buildings with air cycles.
Author(s) : GIGIEL A., RUSSELL S., BUTLER D. J. G.
Summary
The paper demonstrates that a packaged air cycle heating and cooling unit for buildings is feasible and offers a practical alternative to boilers and chillers. The energy consumption of this unit is less than that of conventional systems for buildings that have a significant proportion of their heating and cooling loads simultaneously. The system is environment-friendly and very robust.
