Air-cycle refrigeration with turbo-machines.
Author(s) : VERECHTCHAGUINE M. P., KOLONTCHINE V. S.
Summary
A Russian company has developed and manufactured an oil free, reliable, efficient, simple, hermetic air cycle refrigeration turbo machine to generate and maintain constant low temperatures. The machine was designed and optimised based on the Siemens-Claude closed gas cycle, allowing the developers to overcome many problems, such as frosting in the pipes and hardening of lubrication fluids at temperatures down to -150 °C.
